Waterfalls and Nature Baths

After feeding the horses in the morning I take the car again and head to Husavik's garden. The scent of needles is in the air, there is some coniferous trees here and it reminds me of home. There is a small path near the little stream which I follow and now and then a s´cute little bridge goes over the stream. There is luxorious looking buildings on the other side.
I decide to gas up and head for Myvatn, which is 45 minutes drive away. On the way I pick up a hitchhiker on her way to Akureyri. I drive her all the way to the Godafoss waterfalls.
The waterfall is awesome. We take pictures of eachothers infront of the beautiful falls and say farewells. She recommends Myvatn's nature paths for me so I head there next.

Near the nature baths the landscape is totally different to the falls. Everything is dry, smoking and sizzling with weird smelling gas. The ground is brown-red. It feels like the ground is breathing and the breath smells like bad eggs.
The nature baths are perfect. The water is blurry, light blue and wonderfully warm. There is sand under my feet nicely scratching my soles. Steam is rising hiding other people from the view. I close my eyes and enjoy. All though I'm in water it feels like laying on a warm sand in the sun when a cooling breeze nuzzle your skin. Or being in a sauna and opening the window to let some cool air inside.

Relaxed and my stomack full of the restaurants delicious but expensive foods I head back to Saltvik. I arrive just in time for a german tourists who wants to go for a ride. We take Lalli and Visa. The client is a bit nervous and points out the uneven ground. I assure her that the horses are very surefooted and used to this kind of terrain. After crossing the stream the tourist starts to relax a bit. After the ride she has fallen in love with Lalli and I let her brush him and give him some horsecandy.
